Privacy Policy

Information, policies, and support from WinSolveLab.

Privacy Policy

Effective: August 13, 2026 Last reviewed: August 13, 2026 Applies to WinSolveLab

This Privacy Policy explains what information may be processed when you visit WinSolveLab, use its Blogger search, open the Smart Guide, or submit the native Blogger contact form.

WinSolveLab is hosted on Blogger, a Google service. Some technical processing is performed by Google as the platform provider and is outside the direct control of WinSolveLab.

1. Information You Choose to Submit

If you use the native Blogger contact form, you may provide your name, email address, and message. Do not submit passwords, Windows product keys, BitLocker recovery keys, private documents, payment information, or other sensitive data.

Messages may be delivered to the Google account associated with the blog and may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, document a correction, handle a privacy request, prevent abuse, or meet applicable obligations.

2. Information Processed Automatically

Because the site is hosted by Blogger, Google may process technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, request logs, security signals, and cookies. Google’s handling of this information is governed by its own policies and platform terms.

3. Cookies

Blogger may use cookies required for platform operation, security, preferences, authentication, and other Google-provided functions. WinSolveLab does not currently add its own advertising, analytics, heatmap, or third-party tracking scripts.

If advertising, analytics, or additional services are introduced later, this policy will be updated before or when those services are activated, and any required notices or consent mechanisms will be considered.

4. WinSolve Smart Guide

The launch version of the WinSolve Smart Guide is rule-based and runs in the visitor’s browser. It routes visitors to site categories, creates a troubleshooting-summary template, and uses Blogger search. It is not generative AI and does not send the visitor’s question to an external AI provider.

A summary remains on the visitor’s device unless the visitor chooses to copy and submit it through a form or another channel.

5. Search

When you use the site search, the search terms are sent to Blogger to display matching content. Avoid entering private or sensitive information into the search field.

6. External Links

WinSolveLab may link to Microsoft, device manufacturers, documentation providers, and the creator’s YouTube channel. Following an external link takes you to another service with its own privacy practices. A normal link does not mean WinSolveLab controls or endorses every policy of that destination.

7. Embedded Content

The launch template does not automatically load a YouTube iframe or third-party social-media embed. The YouTube icon is a standard link, and YouTube is contacted when the visitor chooses to open that link.

8. Children’s Privacy

WinSolveLab is a general technical-information website and is not intentionally designed to collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, use the Contact Us page to request review or deletion.

9. Security and Retention

No internet service can guarantee absolute security. WinSolveLab limits the information it requests and asks visitors not to send sensitive credentials. Contact messages are retained only as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, subject to the behavior and controls of the Blogger and Google platforms.

10. Your Questions or Requests

To ask a privacy question, request correction or deletion of information you submitted, or report a privacy concern, use the Contact Us page and clearly write “Privacy Request” at the beginning of your message.

11. Changes to This Policy

This policy may be revised when the site’s features, legal obligations, advertising status, analytics tools, or contact methods change. The effective and review dates at the top of this page will be updated when a material revision is published.

12. Independent Status

WinSolveLab is independent and is not affiliated with Microsoft Corporation. References to Windows and Microsoft products are descriptive and remain the property of their respective trademark owners.
